Since 1981, the iconic black and white stripes of Stafford House has been a key figure in the skyline of Wellington, New Zealand. The striking colour scheme at the northern end of The Terrace originally housed office suits.
A restoration was lead by Hutchings O'Brien Director Grant Hutchings in the 1990's. Grant, with Active Investments oversaw the change of Stafford House from commercial office suits to purpose built facilities for New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade until 2002.
